Nexon’s CEO, Lee Jung-heon, has confirmed that Project DX, a game based on the Durango: Wild Lands IP, remains in development, though progress has been slower than anticipated. During a recent event, Lee highlighted that while work continues, the pace has been slower compared to other projects like Project DW. He assured fans that more information would be shared soon.
Initially announced in November 2022, Project DX has garnered attention from fans of the original Durango, a game that was shut down in 2019. The MMORPG is expected to feature survival and crafting elements similar to its predecessor, but updates have been sparse since the release of a teaser trailer two years ago. Rumors have circulated suggesting a potential release in January 2025, but with the development slowdown, this timeline remains uncertain.

Fans are eagerly awaiting further news, with hopes that more details might be revealed during the upcoming G-STAR 2024 event.
