Final Fantasy XIV Mobile Officially Announced To Be In Development

Square Enix and Tencent Games have officially announced that a mobile version of the beloved MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is in development. This confirmation follows a leak by popular leaker Kurakasis, heightening the anticipation among fans.

The announcement came during the FF14 Eorzean Symphony concert in Guangzhou, China. This project is a continuation of the strategic alliance between Square Enix and Tencent, which began in 2018. The foundation for this mobile adaptation was likely set in 2021 when then-President of Square Enix, Yosuke Matsuda, hinted at ongoing collaborations with Tencent.

Final Fantasy XIV, initially launched in 2010 and relaunched as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in 2013, offers a rich MMORPG experience. Players can explore a vast world, and gain experience points by defeating monsters, crafting, and completing quests to level up their characters and unlock new abilities.
