“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin” Announced For PC & Consoles

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Black Forest Games have unveiled “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.” The game is headed to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, promising an experience TMNT fans can’t miss.

Inspired by the graphic novel “The Last Ronin,” the game transports players to a future where New York City is in ruins due to battles. A lone surviving Turtle embarks on a mission to seek justice for his family. The original TMNT creators’ collaboration brings authenticity, built on the comic event by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers.

A teaser trailer at the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase hinted at the tone, though gameplay details remain a mystery.

For fans familiar with “The Last Ronin” graphic novel, the game’s narrative mirrors it. The story follows the last Turtle, seeking revenge in a city reduced to rubble. The official description reads:

“Who is the Last Ronin? In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone Turtle seeks justice for the family lost. From the creators of TMNT, based on the comic event by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers: the official video game adaptation of TMNT: The Last Ronin.”

Some sources describe the gameplay of “The Last Ronin” as akin to the “God of War” series, a single-player action RPG. The game is set to launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. No release date has been announced just yet.
