“Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis” CBT Delayed Until Summer 2023

Square Enix has recently announced that the Closed Beta Test for their upcoming mobile RPG game, “Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis” is going to be delayed. The game was supposed to enter its CBT phase for Android and iOS around Q3-Q4 2022 but has now been moved to “summer 2023.”

Why is it delayed?

“Final Fantasy’s” Tetsuya Nomura gave a brief explanation through Twitter about the postponement stating that they’re still trying to make the game better. A new trailer was also shown alongside the delay announcement. The video gives us a better look at the Closed Beta Test coming Summer of 2023 for iOS and Android. You can watch the trailer down below.

“We’re excited to reveal the latest trailer for “Ever Crisis”. Regarding the Closed Beta Test, it will be postponed until next Summer. We are working hard to make the game even better than expected, so please stay tuned for more updates in the future.” – Tetsuya Nomura

About “FFVII Ever Crisis”

“Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis” compiles all the FF7 games into one neat little game for mobile devices. This includes the main storyline and also the spin-off games. “Ever Crisis” will retell the full complete story of Cloud and his adventures in Midgar. The game will be Free-To-Play but it seems that you’ll need to buy future chapters to continue just like “Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition.” This has not been confirmed as Square Enix has not revealed how the game will be monetized.
