“Fate/Samurai Remnant” Announced For PC, Switch, PS4, & PS5

Koei Tecmo has announced that they are working on a brand new action RPG based on the highly popular “Fate” series called “Fate/Samurai Remnant.” The game is scheduled to be released worldwide sometime in 2023 for multiple platforms including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

Details about the game are a bit lacking right now. What we do know is that Type-Moon and Aniplex will be involved in the game’s development. Type-Moon’s involvement with the project is said to be a supervisory one. “Fate/Samurai Remnant” will tell a different story from other “Fate” titles we’ve seen so far but most of the major features of the franchise will still be present including the Holy Grail War and Servants. You can watch the official trailer down below.

At the end of the trailer, we can see a character emerges that could be Saber Miyamoto Musashi. The trailer itself doesn’t show any gameplay footage but we do see some characters that will be turning up in the game.

If you visit their official website, you can see that different companies are involved in the project including Omega Force who is popularly known for their “Musou” series, with Type-Moon supervising, Aniplex helping Koei Tecmo produce the game, and Kou Shibusawa, who worked on “Nioh” and Nioh 2” is also listed. “Fate/Samurai Remnant” is scheduled to be released in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and PS5.
