Netflix To Add 40 More New Games To Its Roster In 2023

Netflix, the popular streaming service known for producing the blockbuster thriller series “Squid Game,” is once again grabbing headlines with its ever-growing collection of playable games. In a recent announcement, the company revealed its plans to introduce 40 new games to its platform in 2023, with an additional 30 games produced in collaboration with partners. In-house, Netflix’s game studio is presently developing 16 new games.

This push towards gaming marks a crucial step for Netflix’s wider objective of providing an all-inclusive entertainment experience for its subscribers. The company intends to launch new games every month in 2023, focusing on developing games inspired by its most popular shows. Among the initial titles is the game “Too Hot to Handle: Love is A Game,” based on the Netflix unscripted dating show of the same name, which is now available on the platform. Another title based on the same show is slated for release later this year.

“We aim to create a diverse array of games – in different styles and formats – because we believe everyone can find pleasure in gaming once they find the one (or more!) that suits them. Ustwo’s incredible and magnificent Monument Valley franchise is coming to Netflix next year, with Monument Valley 1 and Monument Valley 2 leading the way, with many more to follow.”

Netflix’s latest gaming collaboration is with Ubisoft, with the two companies jointly releasing an exclusive game called “Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace” on April 18th. This collaboration marks an exciting milestone for the streaming platform, which continues to expand its gaming offerings and attract a broader audience.

To access Netflix’s games, users simply need to launch the Netflix app on their iPhone, iPad, or Android device and search for “mobile games”. Clicking on a game will provide them with additional information, and pressing the “Get Game” button will take them to the app store to download the game onto their device. Currently, all games are available with any Netflix subscription.
