New “DanMachi” Mobile RPG Announced, Set For Global Release

Neowiz and GREE Entertainment recently announced that they will be teaming up to develop a new RPG based on the popular anime series “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” The upcoming game will be available for both iOS and Android devices and will be distributed globally, with the exception of mainland China.

Please do not that this new game announcement should not be confused with another recently announced “DanMachi” mobile game, “Danmachi: Battle Chronicles.” This is a brand-new game and the two titles should not be confused.

While further details about the game have yet to be released, Neowiz will be taking charge of the development and distribution, with GREE Entertainment helping with the planning process. As for the anime series itself, it has gained a massive following since its first publication in 2013 by GA Bunko.

Based on a novel by Fujino Omori, which has sold over 12 million copies worldwide, “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” has gone on to spawn various adaptations and spin-offs, including “Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon” Gaiden and “DanMachi II” and “DanMachi III.” The fourth season of the series, “DanMachi IV,” was aired in 2022.
