MONGIL: STAR DIVE, Netmarble Announces New Monster Taming RPG Coming To Mobile, PC, and Consoles!

Netmarble has revealed its latest action RPG, MONGIL: STAR DIVE, set to launch in the second half of 2025. The game, developed by Netmarble Monster and published by Netmarble, will be available on Android, iOS, and PC. MONGIL: STAR DIVE serves as a sequel to the 2013 classic Monster Taming, continuing the journey of protagonists Verna and Cloud with enhanced graphics and gameplay mechanics powered by Unreal Engine 5.

What We Know About MONGIL: STAR DIVE

As a successor to the popular Monster Taming RPG, MONGIL: STAR DIVE introduces players to a new chapter in the story. Players will again follow Verna and Cloud, joined by Nyanners, a mysterious mascot character with unique abilities. Nyanners allows players to tame monsters, which can be used strategically in battles or crafted into “Monster-rings” to empower characters.

Key Features and Gameplay

The game will bring back three-character party combat, a core mechanic from the original Monster Taming, but with enhancements that leverage Unreal Engine 5’s capabilities. Players can expect high-quality cutscenes, realistic 3D graphics, and immersive story-driven gameplay.

Netmarble has announced that MONGIL: STAR DIVE will feature:

Monster Taming and Monster-ring Mechanics: Players can tame various monsters to use in battles or craft into Monster-rings to boost character skills.
Enhanced Visuals and Action: Developed using Unreal Engine 5, the game promises stunning graphics, smooth combat animations, and detailed environments.
Party-Based Combat: Combat is structured around three-character parties, allowing players to strategize and optimize their team compositions.

Upcoming Showcase at G-STAR 2024

Netmarble plans to showcase a playable story mode demo at G-STAR 2024. The event will also feature a new trailer that highlights the game’s story and gameplay mechanics, giving fans a first look at the new RPG.

Expected Release Date

MONGIL: STAR DIVE is slated for release in late 2025 across Android, iOS, PC, and consoles marking Netmarble’s continued expansion into multi-platform releases.
