Alchemy Stars to Shut Down in China on January 24, 2025

Level Infinite and TourDog Studio have officially announced that Alchemy Stars, their popular fantasy strategy RPG, will shut down in Mainland China on January 24, 2025. The decision comes nearly 18 months after the game’s regional launch on June 13, 2023. While the global version, launched on June 19, 2021, will continue to operate, this marks the end of the game’s service in its home region.

Key Dates and Transition Details

The shutdown process is already underway:

  • Recharge functions have been disabled, and new player registrations are no longer available.
  • Existing players can continue logging into the game and enjoying the content until the final shutdown date.

Additionally, before the closure, players can expect one final main story update, offering closure to the game’s narrative. To thank the player community, developers are distributing 1,000 Summon Stars and a designated 6-star Light Spirit, accessible via the in-game mailbox.

Offline Version Announcement

To ensure players can still enjoy their journey through Astra, developers have announced a special offline version. This version will allow existing players to retain certain features, including light spirits and costumes. It will be made available before the official shutdown via app stores or as a client update.

Compensation for Players

Players who have made in-game purchases or have unused tokens will be eligible for compensation. Rewards include gift packs for popular games like Honor of Kings, Peace Elite, Naruto Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and Light and Night Love. Details are available in the official announcement.

Global Version Remains Operational

Despite the regional shutdown, the global version of Alchemy Stars remains active. Fans of the game outside China can continue their adventures uninterrupted.
