Tango Gameworks Inc. Revitalized Under KRAFTON’s Leadership

Tango Gameworks, renowned for developing Hi-Fi Rush, has been revitalized as Tango Gameworks Inc. following its acquisition by KRAFTON, the publisher behind PUBG: Battlegrounds. This transition marks a significant turnaround for the studio, which faced closure in mid-2024 after Microsoft’s decision to shut down several of its subsidiaries, including Tango Gameworks.

A New Beginning with KRAFTON

In August 2024, KRAFTON announced the acquisition of Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush intellectual property, aiming to expand its global presence and invest in the Japanese gaming market. This strategic move ensures the continuation of the Hi-Fi Rush franchise and opens avenues for new projects under KRAFTON’s support.

Focus on Hi-Fi Rush and Future Projects

With the acquisition, Tango Gameworks Inc. is set to concentrate on expanding the Hi-Fi Rush universe. While previous titles like The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo remain under Microsoft’s ownership, the studio now has the opportunity to develop sequels and new content for Hi-Fi Rush, potentially including DLCs and releases on additional platforms such as the Nintendo Switch.
