The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Industrial Technology Security Investigation Unit raided the headquarters of Dynamis One on February 24, 2025. This action stems from allegations that key officials at Dynamis One illegally exported development materials from an undisclosed Nexon Games project, potentially violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.
Background of Dynamis One
Established in April 2024, Dynamis One was founded by former core developers from Nexon Games, including CEO Park Byeong-rim, Scenario Writer Yang Joo-young, and Art Director Kim In. These individuals previously contributed to the creation of the anime-style RPG, Blue Archive. In September 2024, Dynamis One announced Project KV, a nostalgia-themed school action title. However, the project faced significant backlash due to its striking similarities to Blue Archive in terms of world-building, art style, and visuals, leading to its cancellation just a week later.

Allegations and Investigation
The current investigation centers on suspicions that CEO Park and other key figures systematically leaked crucial information about Nexon Games’ undisclosed project, MX Blade, during their departure from the company in 2021. Reports suggest that they intended to utilize this information to develop games at their new studio, Dynamis One. Additionally, evidence indicates that Dynamis One developers planned to harm the future development and service of Blue Archive to benefit their project’s success.

Nexon Games’ Response
Nexon Games has expressed serious concerns regarding the incident, stating, “This incident is a serious crime that undermines the foundations of the game development environment.” The company has pledged full cooperation with the police investigation to ensure strict accountability and has announced plans to enhance internal security measures.
The police are currently investigating whether the leaked data was utilized for game development by Dynamis One.
