Webzen announced on July 2 that Terbis, its upcoming subculture RPG, will not be released in 2025 as originally planned. Instead, the launch is postponed to sometime after the second half of 2025, with a likely release window in early 2026. This decision came after carefully reviewing feedback from the game’s closed beta test. While players praised its 2D visuals, character design, and full voice acting, they also pointed out issues with the game’s originality, UI/UX functionality, and gameplay balance. In response, Webzen has committed to extending development to elevate the game’s overall quality.

What Webzen Is Changing—Details That Matter
During the closed beta, players shared that Terbis looked great and sounded immersive, but lacked standout mechanics and originality that would differentiate it from similar titles. Others noted that the interface felt clunky and the balance of certain features was off.
Webzen took this seriously. The development team will focus on improving UI usability, fine-tuning game systems, and injecting more creative depth into gameplay. These are not just minor updates—they’re core changes, intended to deliver a more polished and original experience shaped by community insight.

Developer Promises & Ongoing Updates
The development team at Webzen expressed appreciation for the feedback and asked for continued patience. “We will actively reflect users’ opinions to improve the game’s completeness,” the official statement read. They assured fans that progress updates will be shared regularly through the game’s official community and social media channels, keeping players informed on what’s changing and why. Webzen hopes this transparency will reassure fans who’ve been eagerly awaiting Terbis.

Hello. This is Tervis.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the implementers who have been waiting for the launch of our Tervis.
We thoroughly reviewed all the valuable opinions sent by the implementers during the closed beta test (CBT) that was held for 7 days from June 10th to 16th. Many implementers gave favorable reviews of the 2D graphics, character design, and full voice actor support, which was a great encouragement.
However, he also gave us some harsh words that we must take to heart, such as that Tervis lacks novelty and that improvements are needed in areas such as the inconvenience of UIUX and balance.
Tervis will actively reflect the valuable opinions sent by the implementers and focus on improvements and additional development to further enhance the fun and stability of the game. We will do our best to repay the implementers who have waited for Tervis and to make it a game that will be loved for a long time.
However, we decided that additional development time is needed to increase the game’s completeness by reflecting various opinions from developers, and in order to secure development time, we decided to adjust the game’s release schedule again to after the second half of 2025.
We would like to ask for your understanding from the implementers who have been waiting for the launch of Tervis. Tervis will continue to organize the progress of additional development and provide continuous updates through the official community and official SNS channels so that we can repay the interest and affection you have shown us.
We will do our best to show you a more advanced Tervis in the near future. We sincerely thank you for your continued interest and support for Tervis.
thank you
