The COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT SUPPLIER’S ASSOCIATION (CESA, Chairman: Haruhiro Tsujimoto) today announced detailed information about the Japan Game Awards 2025, which selects and awards game titles worthy of representing the year.

■ Announcement of Award Ceremony
The Japan Game Awards 2025 Annual Title Category Announcement Ceremony will be held at 18:00 on Tuesday, September 23, the day before the Tokyo Game Show 2025, and will be held in Iino Hall with an upgraded version from last year. The announcement and award ceremony for the Future Division will be held as usual on Sunday, September 28 at 13:00 at the TGS2025 Event Stage (Makuhari Messe Hall 1). In addition, each award will be streamed live (online). The live stream is free of charge without pre-registration and can be viewed from the official website of the Japan Game Awards, the official website of the Tokyo Game Show 2025, and the URL of each YouTube Live. ■ Game Designers Grand Prize 8 judges decided!
The eight judges for the Game Designers Awards 2025, which will be selected from the perspectives of top creators, have been decided.
This year’s judges include Masahiro Sakurai, the chairman of the jury, Kazutoshi Iida, Jiro Ishii, Hideki Kamiya, Kazutsuyoshi Odaka, Toby Fox, Keiichiro Toyama, and Taro Yoko. A total of 8 people will judge this year’s Game Designers Awards.
At the annual work category announcement award ceremony, Masahiro Sakurai, the chairman of the jury, will serve as a presenter and introduce the announcement of the grand prize and the appeal of the winning works.

The Game Designers Awards are evaluated by top creators representing the game industry based on “creativity” and “novelty” from a professional perspective, and one of the best works selected by creators is selected. ■Annual Work Category Announcement Award Ceremony Hongo Kanata and Harami-chan participate!
It has been decided that Kanata Hongo, the official supporter of TGS2025, and pianist Harami-chan will participate in the “Annual Works” award ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday, September 23 (a national holiday) at Iino Hall in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

The voting period for the Future Division will be from 10:00 on Thursday, September 25, the first day of the Tokyo Game Show 2025, to 16:00 on Saturday, September 27, the third day of the exhibition, and all voting will be conducted online.

*Please note that voting will close at 16:00 on Saturday, September 27. Any unreleased titles announced after the voting deadline will not be eligible.
