Anticipated Open-World Action RPG ANANTA to Appear at Tokyo Game Show 2025

ANANTA, the anticipated open-world action RPG from NetEase Games, will make its presence felt at Tokyo Game Show 2025, where attendees can test out a playable demo version of the game.

What is ANANTA?

Originally revealed under the name Project Mugen, ANANTA is a free-to-play urban open-world action RPG that blends anime-inspired visuals with vibrant cityscapes and supernatural mysteries. Players step into the role of an Infinite Trigger, an elite agent of the Anti-Chaos Directorate, tasked with fighting otherworldly phenomena known as Chaos.

The game emphasizes freedom of movement, with traversal mechanics such as parkour, wall climbing, swinging between skyscrapers, swimming, and grappling. Exploration is at the core, from bustling futuristic cities like Nova Inception Urbs to hidden supernatural encounters. Alongside combat, players will partner with Espers, uncover mysteries, and harness new powers as they unravel the lore of this world.

ANANTA is developed by Naked Rain, a studio under Thunder Fire Studio, with support from NetEase Montreal. The game will be published by NetEase Games, a major player in the global gaming industry.

Platforms and Availability

ANANTA is confirmed for PC, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS, with cross-platform availability ensuring players can enjoy the experience wherever they play.

While fans will get their first hands-on demo at Tokyo Game Show 2025, no official release date has been announced yet. Please stay tuned for further updates as development continues.
