Reddit Adds Built-in Games to Mobile and Desktop

Reddit is branching out. Instead of only serving as a forum and content platform, it now hosts playable games directly inside its mobile app and desktop site. Through the newly launched Games Launchpad, users can jump into games without ever leaving Reddit. You’ll find access in the sidebar on desktop and under “Games on Reddit” in the menu on mobile. Games go full-screen and support genres like puzzle, word, arcade, action, card, and board.

What Kind of Games Are Available

Titles like Honk, Jump Cat, Pixelary, and Froggy Flight are part of the initial lineup. Reddit is positioning this not as a console substitute, but as quick, casual experiences you can play in between browsing. A new subreddit, r/GamesOnReddit, helps users explore, share, and talk about these games.

Casual Fun If You’re Tired From Browsing Reddit

Reddit’s shift into built-in gaming doesn’t mean it’s becoming Xbox, but it adds a playful layer to what was once strictly a content discussion platform. With casual games live inside the app and desktop, Reddit is rethinking how to keep users engaged — in its own space.
