The AAA single-player open-world action role-playing game Project TAL, which is based on traditional Korean mask folklore, has been formally revealed by Korean studio WEMADE MAX and its subsidiary MADNGINE. The game’s expansive world, fierce combat, and poignant story were hinted at in the first trailer.

Project TAL, which is scheduled for release in 2027, is a visually stunning fantasy world designed for PC and console. The video emphasizes gameplay features like scaling enormous monsters, taking advantage of vulnerabilities, and launching deft counterattacks with astute NPC allies.

Setting and Themes

The game is based on myth and folklore and is influenced by the Korean “Tal” (mask) tradition. The narrative, which combines contemporary, action-packed gameplay with ancient themes, centers on mending a wounded world. Its combat design and art direction seek to combine cinematic scale with cultural authenticity.
