Rumors of a global release for Tencent Games’ popular otome dating simulation, Light and Night, are surging after fans discovered new, official English social media accounts on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook. As of this writing the X account, @lightnnight_glb, has been deleted, maybe in an attempt on damage control and hide the global version’s leak.
These newly created pages feature a simple “Coming Soon” in their bio and an English cover displaying the main male leads, generating significant excitement among otome fans outside of China. While the social media sites have yet to publish an official announcement, the presence of these pages is seen as a strong indicator that a global launch is being actively prepared.
A Competitor To Love and Deep Space?
Light and Night is a significant title in the otome genre and, upon its global release, is expected to become a major competitor to successful titles like Love and Deep Space. It is considered one of the “Big 6” Chinese otome games, known for its stunning character designs and vivid illustrations crafted for a female audience.

The game is set in the visually appealing, but secretive, Hwimyeong City, where the player takes on the role of a young designer. The story features a surprisingly dark narrative beneath the romance.
