Capcom Plans New Releases, Remakes for Mega Man and Devil May Cry

Capcom released its 2025 Integrated Report this week, which included a statement from Chief Operating Officer Haruhiro Tsujimoto detailing the company’s future goals. The focus is on preventing fan favorite franchises from fading away and expanding the publisher’s lineup beyond its existing core hits.

A Strategy for Core IPs

Tsujimoto confirmed that Capcom plans to develop “new releases, remakes, and ports” for Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney on new hardware. The overarching goal is to expand the user base for these series and eventually elevate them to the status of “core IPs,” alongside giants like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. This strategy will involve more ports, such as the previously released Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, but it also opens the door for new sequels and more ambitious remakes for these beloved titles.

Investment in Future Development

To support this growth, the company is investing heavily in its workforce and expanding its development structure. This includes building a new game studio next to its head office. The construction of this new facility is expected to be completed in 2027, which will help strengthen Capcom’s in house creator teams to produce the volume and quality of content planned for the coming years.
