Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake Title Leaked

The long-rumored remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag appears to have had its official title leaked through a PEGI rating. The rating, listed for Ubisoft EMEA, reveals the title will be Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The “Resynced” subtitle seems to be the publisher’s unique branding for its new line of remakes.

Leak Details and Confirmation

The PEGI 18 rating was recently spotted on the official PEGI website, providing the clearest confirmation yet of the remake’s existence. While Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed in June 2024 that the company would be developing remakes of older Assassin’s Creed titles, the specific Black Flag remake had only been the subject of rumors until now. The rating leak comes shortly before The Game Awards, leading to speculation that Ubisoft may use the event for an official announcement.

Potential Release Window

Previous rumors suggested that the Black Flag remake could arrive in March 2026, positioning its release just before Ubisoft’s next fiscal year begins. With the title now leaked, an official reveal is expected soon, either at The Game Awards this week or during a potential Ubisoft event early in 2026.
