Larian Studios has officially announced their next major project. The game is simply called Divinity. This reveal comes after the massive, record-breaking success of Baldur’s Gate 3. Fans were eager to see what Larian would do next. Now we know they are heading back to their classic fantasy setting, Rivellon. This new RPG is promising something truly special!

The Most Ambitious Game Ever

Larian Studios is not holding back on this one. They described Divinity as their “most ambitious title yet.” This is a big statement coming from the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3! Studio founder Swen Vincke spoke about the project. He said they are bringing everything they have done before into one place. This will mark the start of something with greater breadth, depth, and intimacy. Larian has wanted to make this version of Divinity for a very long time!

A New Beginning in Rivellon

The game is set in the familiar world of Rivellon. The story teaser is dark and mysterious: “The gods are silent. Rivellon bleeds. New powers stir.” This suggests a fresh and intense storyline. Best of all, new players will have no trouble jumping in. Divinity is a brand new title. You do not need to play the older Original Sin games to enjoy it. However, longtime fans will get to enjoy greater continuity and references. Larian says we are going to have loads of fun with this new adventure! Platforms and a release date are still unannounced.
