Previously known as Project ARC, this title shifts the massive battle royale scale of the original franchise into smaller, high-intensity 5v5 arenas. The game emphasizes close-quarters tactical action, requiring players to combine fast-paced gunplay with deep team coordination. By moving to a top-down perspective, the developers aim to offer a fresh strategic experience that focuses on positioning and real-time situational awareness.

Innovative Mechanics and Teamwork

The primary game mode revolves around a high-stakes objective called the Crypt. Players are split into attacking and defending teams, each with specific roles:

• Attackers: Use specialized tools like grenade launchers and explosive hammers to breach walls and defenses to plant a Decrypter.
• Defenders: Fortify the area, block entry points, and use shields to stop the hack.
• Shared Vision: A unique real-time line-of-sight mechanic shares visual information across the entire team, allowing for seamless coordination without the need for voice chat. Successful hacks turn the Crypt from blue to red, signifying control over valuable Blue Chips.

Despite the change in perspective, PUBG: BLINDSPOT retains the franchise’s signature feel through its weaponry. Iconic firearms such as the Mk14, AWM, and P90 return, alongside a variety of tactical gadgets. New additions include Blue Zone grenades, recon drones, and proximity mines, which can be paired with classic equipment like flashbangs and smokes.
