Goblin Sushi Serves Up Chaotic Fun This February on Mobile and PC

Metaroot has announced that its unique roguelike restaurant simulation, Goblin Sushi, is set to enter Early Access on February 9, 2026. Developed by indie studio Old Cake Factory, the game places players in the shoes of a goblin chef working in a cave-dwelling restaurant. The core hook revolves around preparing “tasty” sushi using unconventional ingredients such as caterpillars, slugs, and even chicken heads. This blend of chaotic management and gross-out humor is aimed at fans of high-speed simulators who enjoy a touch of the bizarre in their gameplay.

Beating the Inflationary Rent

The primary challenge in Goblin Sushi goes beyond just serving impatient customers. Players must contend with a rapidly rising rent that is due every two minutes, reflecting an aggressive inflationary mechanic designed to keep the pressure high. To survive, chefs must master sushi combos, upgrade their kitchen equipment, including a “turbocharged” rice cooker, and expand their menu to attract different types of goblin clientele. From the Trash Goblin to the Ghost Goblin, each customer has specific demands that can make or break your session.

Multi-Platform Early Access

The February 9 Early Access launch will be available across three platforms: Android, iOS, and PC. While mobile app store links are still pending, the game is currently available for wishlisting on Steam. Following a successful demo run that gathered vital player feedback, the developers have spent the last few months refining the combat-like intensity of the kitchen. With its captivating art style and fast-paced loop, Goblin Sushi is positioning itself as a standout indie title for early 2026.
