Taipei Game Show 2026 officially kicked off today at Hall 1 of the Nangang Exhibition Center and will run through February 1. As soon as the doors opened, waves of visitors streamed into the venue under staff guidance. This year’s event brings together 399 exhibitors from 26 countries, spanning 1st floor Area I and the entire 4th floor in a dual-level exhibition layout. The showcase covers a wide range of platforms, including console, PC, and mobile games, along with indie titles and a variety of tabletop games. In total, more than 500 games are on display, including over 100 unreleased new titles, giving visitors plenty to dive into. On opening day, exhibitors rolled out an exciting lineup of stage activities. In addition to game producers sharing the latest updates and behind-the-scenes insights, well-known streamers, cheerleading stars, popular influencers, and cosplayers took turns on stage, sparking waves of enthusiasm throughout the crowd.
Iconic Game Worlds Brought to Life Stunning Cosplayers Step Into Character and Deliver Endless Goodies to Visitors
In the B2C Zone, exhibitors pulled out all the stops. Immersive setups, limited-time events, and interactive sessions with cosplayers kept visitors lingering at booth after booth. Nintendo expanded its presence this year, setting up more than 120 demo stations on site. Visitors can try over 35 titles, including several unreleased games, along with special photo zones and meet-and-greet sessions featuring Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, and Pikachu. Bandai Namco Entertainment Taiwan also rolled out multiple interactive stage programs. On opening day, the producer of Once Upon A KATAMARI shared the latest updates on the upcoming title, while visitors who joined battle events had the chance to take home exclusive limited-edition gifts.
Meanwhile, Taiwan-based game distributor and publisher JUSTDAN showcased nearly 20 titles, including several CAPCOM games and the overseas debut playable demo of Danganronpa 2×2. Visitors were free to dive in and play, with a nonstop lineup of lively stage events scheduled throughout each day.
Adding even more star power to the show floor, Clouded Leopard Entertainment brought fresh energy with its new action RPG Kyouran Makaism and the popular mobile crossover Whiteout Survival X Kingshot, both featuring appearances by well-known baseball cheerleaders. The two stages quickly became hotspots, drawing large crowds eager to watch and participate.
Elsewhere on the floor, highly anticipated title Arknights: Endfield recreated its in-game world on site, complete with a live DJ and popular cosplayer performances, attracting fans in droves. Meanwhile, Zenless Zone Zero launched early-bird exclusive giveaways and venue-only merchandise, sparking a buying frenzy among attendees.
Beyond individual booths, the excitement extended to the TGS STAGE, which was equally packed on day one, with constant cheers and applause. The afternoon kicked off with the ASUS ROG Celebrity Showmatch for Delta Force, where popular streamers teamed up with on-site players to battle it out and experience the latest version of the game. Following that, the special stage event for SD Gundam G Generation Eternal unveiled new updates for the international edition, keeping the excitement going strong.
B2B Zone and Asia Pacific Game Summit Launch in Tandem Spotlighting AI Industry Trends and Practical Development Insights
Beyond the excitement in the B2C Zone, Taipei Game Show continues to balance visitor experience with industry exchange, positioning the event not only as a celebration of games but also as a key platform for dialogue across the Asia-Pacific game industry. The B2B Zone and Asia Pacific Game Summit, held concurrently, have expanded and relocated to 1st floor Zone I of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The B2B Zone has seen vibrant on-site networking, with meeting rooms nearly fully booked. Game industry professionals from around the world have been exchanging business cards and forging cross-border opportunities through Taipei Game Show.
At Asia Pacific Game Summit, the MAIN STAGE features industry leaders including Hirohito Suzuki, Senior Manager and Producer at SQUARE ENIX; Yoshinori Kitamura, COO and Chairman of the Board at GRAVITY; Yosuke Shiokawa, CEO of Fahrenheit 213; as well as representatives from Smilegate, Unity China, Lizard Smoothie, and Xsolla. Together, they are sharing behind-the-scenes insights into sustainable IP management and practical strategies for game operations and development. Meanwhile, the AI STAGE brings together experts such as Matt Yang, Sr. GenAI Sales Specialist at Amazon Web Services; Ray Chao, Founder of VoAI Inc.; along with speakers from NETRON Information Technology Corp., Kneron, SYSTEX, and Ubitus. Through real-world case studies, they are demonstrating how AI is being successfully implemented to support and accelerate game development.
