Cosplay isn’t just about putting on a costume—it’s about transformation, imagination, and owning who you are. For Liz Alexandrea Bocobo, better known in the community as Rozenkiss, what started as a childhood love for anime and gaming turned into something much bigger. Today, she’s not only a well-loved cosplayer, but also a student, content creator, and the proud owner of TeAr K-Beauty Haute, her very own beauty and lifestyle brand.
Her journey is one of bold choices, quiet confidence, and an ever-growing commitment to celebrating herself and others in the most authentic way.
A Heroine in the Making

Liz’s introduction to cosplay came from a place of love. Growing up immersed in anime and video games, she found comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging in those stories. They weren’t just forms of entertainment—they were safe spaces, little worlds she could escape to.
“I spent hours imagining what it would feel like to actually become the characters I admired,” she shared. “Cosplay made that possible. It wasn’t just dressing up, it was stepping into their stories and personalities.”
Her very first gaming cosplay? Lara Croft from Tomb Raider—an icon of strength and fearlessness. Wearing that costume for the first time was more than exciting. It was transformative.
“I didn’t just feel like I was in costume. I felt like I was her. That moment made me believe—’I can really do this.’ And I haven’t stopped since.”
From Side Hustle to Dream Brand
While many see cosplay as a weekend passion, Liz took things a step further by launching TeAr K-Beauty Haute, her own online store, at just 22 years old. It wasn’t just a business decision. It was a childhood dream come full circle.
“As a kid, I watched a Chinese drama where the male lead tells the girl, ‘My credit card has no limit—buy whatever you like.’ I asked my parents what kind of job he had and they said, ‘He’s a business owner.’ That was it. I knew I wanted that kind of life.”
With her family by her side—literally helping her wrap orders and run convention booths—Liz turned that dream into reality. What started as an idea is now a growing brand, one built on dedication, vision, and a whole lot of heart.

Confidence, Cosplay, and Coming Into Her Own
It’s easy to assume that someone who cosplays bold, daring characters has always been confident. But Liz is quick to share that her journey to body confidence wasn’t easy. Like many, she struggled with self-image for years and didn’t always feel at home in her own skin.
“I used to think I could never pull off bolder cosplays. But I wanted to. So I started taking small steps. I hit the gym, not to meet anyone’s standards, but to prove to myself that I could grow stronger—not just physically, but mentally too.”
That slow, steady progress helped her embrace her body and, eventually, express it through powerful characters. Today, cosplay is more than a costume, it’s a celebration of her growth.
“I’m still learning, still evolving. But I’m proud of how far I’ve come.”

Advice to the Next Generation of Cosplayers
For young cosplayers struggling with self-image, Liz offers wisdom grounded in experience.
“Confidence isn’t something that magically appears. You build it. Even if you’re unsure at first, keep telling yourself, ‘I can do this.’ That’s where it starts.”
She encourages others to define confidence on their own terms. It doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s version. Maybe it’s setting a personal goal. Maybe it’s learning to be gentler with yourself. Whatever it looks like, she says, take that first step—and claim it for yourself.
Owning Your Power and Protecting Your Space
As cosplay evolves into a legitimate creative industry, more creators are exploring mature or sexier looks as part of their art and livelihood. Liz is one of them—and she’s all about doing it with clarity and intention.
“If you’re going into mature content, remember that you set the rules. Go at your own pace. Know your reasons, your limits, and what you’re comfortable with.”
She recommends using watermarks, writing clear reposting and content policies, and surrounding yourself with people who get it—especially when it comes to navigating the online world.
“You don’t have to explain your choices to everyone, but you do need to protect yourself. Find your circle. Build your boundaries. Your peace is worth it.”

Building a Business in the Same Space She Started As a Fan
When asked about her proudest moment in cosplay, Liz smiles thinking about how far she’s come.
“Starting my own business within the cosplay community—that’s something I never imagined I’d do when I first started out. I used to just attend cons as a fan. Now I’m here as both a cosplayer and a brand owner.”
That shift from fan to founder? She calls it one of her biggest milestones. It didn’t just change how she saw the community. It changed how she saw herself.
On Drama, Call-Out Culture, and Choosing Peace
With any creative community, there comes a bit of mess—and Liz doesn’t shy away from that truth. She’s seen her fair share of toxicity, gatekeeping, and cosplay drama.
“There used to be a time I’d speak up on every issue I saw. I had a strong sense of justice and believed I needed to say something. But I realized over time, not every battle is mine to fight.”
Now, she’s learned to choose her peace. She focuses her energy on creating, building, and growing.
“Sometimes the best thing you can do is step back. Protect your energy. Let people handle their own issues unless your voice will truly help. That’s not ignoring, it’s maturity.”
Is the Cosplay Scene Still a Safe Space?
When it comes to how the community handles body shaming and elitism today, Liz doesn’t sugarcoat her answer.
“It honestly feels like it’s getting worse. Before, it didn’t matter if your costume was detailed or simple—everyone just wanted to have fun. Now, it feels like no matter what you do, someone will judge you for it.”
She’s noticed the rise of call-out culture and a less forgiving atmosphere online. For a community that once celebrated creativity and inclusivity, the shift can feel disheartening.
“But I still believe in the heart of cosplay. It’s just up to us to protect that joy.”

What’s Next for Rozenkiss?
With everything already on her plate—business, content creation, events—you’d think Liz might be slowing down. But the opposite is true. She’s leaning into everything she loves and embracing a brand-new chapter of life.
“I’m really focused on growing TeAr K-Beauty Haute right now. It’s something I’ve poured so much heart into. I also want to reconnect with my community more through content and cosplay.”
And beyond the career side of things? She has something exciting ahead.
“I’m also preparing for my wedding. It’s a whole new kind of adventure, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Yes, she’s busy. Yes, the schedule is full. But as Liz puts it:
“I said I wanted to eat. I can’t complain now that the plate is full.”
More Than a Cosplayer
Rozenkiss isn’t just a name in the cosplay scene. She’s a force—creative, driven, and always evolving. Whether she’s in costume, behind a booth, or building her brand from the ground up, she brings the same energy: honest, empowered, and fully herself.
Her story is a reminder that confidence is earned, dreams are built, and creativity deserves to be celebrated at every stage.
And for anyone watching her rise? There’s only one thing to say, this is just the beginning.
