Standout Games From The Thailand Game Show Floor

Every so often, video games would come into our lives shaping it one way or another. Sometimes they’d lead us into a world of its inception and other times, they’d just bring us back to this childlike state that just makes you go woah, that was so cool.

While most concepts in gaming had been explored over time, there are these novel ideas and stories that just have you wanting more and more in the Business to Business area of the Thailand Game Show 2025, there were some standouts that had me excited and giddy with joy. Below are some of those standouts.

#1 UNYIELDER

The First Person Shooter or FPS genre is overrun with some semblance of monotony but for those looking for a unique experience during every gameplay loop, look no further than UNYIELDER. This “intense Boss-rush Movement-FPS” by TrueWorld Studios had us at the edge of our seats combining roguelite elements with explosive mobility that don’t ask the question why but would rather ask why not?

Trying it out firsthand, it was an adrenaline rush of a souls-like experience that felt somewhat reminiscent of Ultrakill and while this game is not for everyone, the challenge is definitely worth undertaking.

Grab a copy of the game yourself and see if you can get good.

#2 Conquest Tactics : Realm of Sin

Turn-based tactic games are always in style especially when you consider that it allows you to have some breathing room in between intense turns. Conquest Tactics: Realm of Sin combines the best that tactics games have to offer while still maintaining its own unique identity through its roguelite nature.

One aspect of this game that I genuinely enjoyed was that your commander or main hero unit would change how your combat would go with each having their own specialization. Maybe you’d want to go the diplomatic route or maybe you’d want to go for full damage? The choice is yours but with a commander that literally let’s you become a goblin queen, I think my choice is already made.

#3 AeternoBlade II: Infinity

The metroidvania genre is full of heavy hitters coming all the way from the original titles to most recently with SilkSong. AeternoBlade II: Infinity, which I thought was a MetroidVania, caught my eye when it suddenly did time manipulation based attacks and a full on hit counter appeared. What solidified it as something special was when the perspective shifted going from 2D platformer to 3D beat em up ala Devil May Cry.

It’s been out for a couple of years now but with it and its predecessor AeternoBlade on almost every console on the generation that it got released on, you have a lot of options available for how you could play it.

#4 Earth Atlantis 2

I miss the days when you’d go to an arcade, put in your token or swipe your card and go ham on a boss or two on Metal Slug. The team behind Earth Atlantis 2, Pixel Perfex, did the same not only by combining the art style from arcade games of that era but by combining multiple genres in the process as well.

While it identifies itself as a shoot ’em up, Earth Atlantis 2 is also a bullet hell and metroidvania with all the dodging and exploring you’d need to do and with a heavy emphasis on boss battles, with more than 20 being planned, arcade gamers are in for a treat.

#5 OVERHEAT

I can’t believe it’s not unreal engine is the only thought I had in my head seeing this game and when it dawned on me that the team behind it, Fishy Studioz developed it entirely in ROBLOX, impressed is the least that I could say I was. Between fluid movements, explosive action and all in all an entertaining game to watch, OVERHEAT and even ROBLOX games as a whole are something to keep an eye out for,

Closing Thoughts

The wheel won’t reinvent itself to make the car work any differently but with the right engineer, it can definitely work better for the right person.

These are but 5 of the titles with cool innovations that had us wanting more but if you’re interested in seeing some of the other titles highlighted during the event, check out the Gamescom Asia X Thailand Game Show Steam page here: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/gamescomasiaxthailandgameshow2025
