“Age Of Empires Mobile” Real-Time Strategy Game Coming To Mobile

Xbox Game Studios and World’s Edge are taking another stab at mobile gaming with a new “Age Of Empires” mobile game. They have previously released 2 titles for mobile – one was a tower defense game, and the other was eventually shut down. Will this new mobile adaptation be the one that becomes successful? The third time’s the charm as they say.

“Age Of Empires” was announced during the franchise’s 25th-anniversary celebration. You can check out the teaser trailer down below. Nothing much has been revealed about the game but it seems that it will (finally) become a real RTS game and not just some loose adaptation.

For those unaware, “Age Of Empires” is a real-time strategy video game franchise that came out all the way back in 1997. There are multiple installments in the series since then with the latest one launching last year of October. The game focuses on historical events in different regions including Europe, Asia, and Africa, and explores different Ages including the Stone Age, Middle Ages, and many more. The “Age Of Empires” franchise is a commercial success, selling over 25 million copies with critics giving it positive reviews.

There is no official release date for “Age Of Empires Mobile” just yet but it will probably be slated for a 2023 release date for Android and iOS devices. More updates soon!
