Just after 2 years after its initial announcement, the mobile MOBA game, “Auto Chess MOBA” will stop development this month of February 2023. The information was shared on the developer’s Twitter account and was met with mixed reactions from the fans and player base.
“Auto Chess MOBA” was received with positive reactions when it was first announced but it seems like the game was not strong enough to take on the ever-changing trends of mobile gaming. Fans of the game were initially excited about it, citing that it’s the closest thing they could get to an actual “DOTA Mobile.” Sadly, the game did not meet the players’ expectations. Compared to its competitors like “Mobile Legends” and “League Of Legends Wild Rift” the game was less than stellar on all accounts.
It never got a high critic score and struggled to maintain its player base. And so the game just simply declined and slowly died. According to the game’s Twitter, “Auto Chess MOBA” has ceased all DLC purchases and top-ups since January 30, 2023, will be removed from all app stores on February 6, 2023, and finally, cease operation on February 28. The game’s virtual currency, the Donut will be converted into DN Gold as long as your account is connected to Dragonest.
The announcement was met with mixed reactions. Some were disappointed, and some even stated that the game was already expected to die since day 1. But there are still some that are hopeful that “Auto Chess MOBA” will make a return someday with better, well, everything.
