Another big gaming company is reportedly jumping into the mobile First Person Shooter craze. According to a job post listing, “Halo” and “Destiny” developer, Bungie is reportedly collaborating with Chinese gaming giant, NetEase for what has been speculated as a mobile version of “Destiny.”
Sources Came From A Job Listing
According to The Game Post, the clue came from a LinkedIn profile of a NetEase artist who has a post for a job listing. it states that they are working on an “unannounced First Person Shooter mobile game.” The job listing seems to point to a mobile version of Bungie’s popular sci-fi online multiplayer FPS game, “Destiny” which according to previous reports, has already been in development for a few years now. There’s no clue if it would tie into existing “Destiny” games but it’s more likely that it’s going to be a stand-alone title exclusively for mobile.

Mobile FPS Seeing A Steady Rise
If “Destiny” is really getting a mobile version, it’s really not that surprising at all since the FPS genre has seen massive success in the mobile gaming platform. “CODM,” “PUBG Mobile,” and “Fortnite” are just a few examples of FPS games that have been on mobile for years and are still enjoying an active player base. Even Riot Games is joining in as they are already deep in development for a mobile version of “VALORANT.”

“Destiny Mobile” has not been officially confirmed yet but the idea of Bungie and NetEase making a “Destiny-related” mobile FPS sounds to be pretty sure by now. Hopefully, we’ll get more information soon since the annual event, Bungie Day will begin next week. If “Destiny” comes to mobile, will Bungie dare make a mobile version of “Halo” as well?
