Bandai Namco (Shanghai) and Kingnet have officially released Digimon: Source Code, a turn-based RPG, on Android and iOS platforms in China. Licensed by Toei Animation, this mobile game brings classic Digimon like WarGreymon, Rosemon, and MetalGarurumon to life with next-gen visuals and immersive gameplay.
Gameplay Features: Turn-Based Combat Meets Exploration
Digimon: Source Code offers a blend of traditional turn-based battles and exploration mechanics. Players can traverse diverse environments such as forests, snowy mountains, deserts, and ruins without stamina limitations. Instead of relying on gacha systems, Digimon are acquired by hatching Digi-Eggs found during exploration, making it more accessible for players to complete their collections.
The game introduces an “Overload” system, allowing Digimon to unleash powerful abilities at strategic moments. Additionally, certain Digimon can perform co-op attacks, adding depth to combat strategies.

Availability and Future Prospects
Currently, Digimon: Source Code is exclusively available in China. Players can download the game from the official website on both Android and iOS devices. While there is no official announcement regarding a global release, the game’s unique features and positive reception may influence future availability in other regions.
