Sad news for fans of Dragon Blaze, the beloved 2D mobile RPG from FLINT and GAMEVIL. The studio has officially confirmed that the game, which launched on May 12, 2015, will conclude its service on August 25, 2025, at 10 AM WIB. Starting June 27, 2025, it has been removed from app stores and in-app purchases are closed. Players can still enjoy the game until the final day.

What Made Dragon Blaze Stand Out
At launch, Dragon Blaze impressed gamers with its Vanillaware-style 2D graphics, dynamic semi-automatic combat, and an epic story featuring battles against Deathcrown, the Dragon King. The game offered five classes—Warrior, Mage, Archer, Priest, Rogue—plus over 100 collectible heroes. Modes included PvE campaigns, PvP Arenas, boss raids, and labyrinths. Its art style remained the most praised feature, even on community forums.

Why Service Is Ending
According to an official statement, the team tried their best to keep Dragon Blaze going. However, low revenue—just about US $3,200 monthly, per AppMagic data—made it unsustainable for a publisher of Com2uS’s size. The developers are now focused on their next project, Astra: Knights of Veda, released in 2023. Despite community support, the financial and operational feasibility just didn’t add up.

For Former Players and Fans
Even though the game is ending, its legacy continues in community discussions and the new title from FLINT. Reddit users still praise Dragon Blaze for its visuals and character interactions. And with Astra: Knights of Veda in play, the artistry lives on in a fresh fantasy world.
