PikPok, a games publisher and developer, revealed today that “Into the Dead 3,” the eagerly awaited sequel to “Into the Dead 2,” has started development. The game franchise started off as an endless runner game for mobile devices but it has since evolved into something more when the sequel was introduced. Now after 5 years, a third installment is now underway, promising another evolution of the endless runner genre.
About ten years have elapsed since the game events of “Into the Dead 2” when “Into the Dead 3” takes place. Players will find compelling human tales of suffering and survival as well as the high-octane action they have come to anticipate from this highly successful franchise in a world where society is still ripped apart by a terrible zombie apocalypse.
With the addition of new strategic and tactical elements aimed at attempting to fix an impossibly broken world, “Into the Dead 3” will include more heart-pounding missions, potent weaponry, a richer backstory, and demanding gameplay. Both beginners and series veterans will be able to jump right into the action as Survivors meet a whole new cast of characters in addition to a few well-known ones.
There is no official release date yet for “Into The Dead 3” but PikPok aims to launch the game sometime in 2023. The company is also currently making another “Into The Dead” game for PC called “Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days” where you’ll be in charge of a group of survivals and help them survive the zombie apocalypse by managing your shelter, scavenging for food or materials, and fend off zombie attacks.
