Leaker Claims VALORANT Mobile is Launching Sooner Than Expected

Valorant, Riot Games’ hit tactical shooter, boasts over 14 million active monthly players on PC. Now, excitement is building for its long-awaited mobile version. After years of speculation, leaks indicate that Valorant Mobile is not only launching in China but also globally. A recent teaser suggests that the game could launch before July 2025, making mobile FPS fans eager to prepare their devices for the next big competitive shooter.

Leaked Valorant Mobile Release Timeline

A prominent leaker, @ValorantMobileX, recently posted a teaser image featuring new agent Waylay and intriguing details. The image displayed ‘Act 2, Season 25,’ hinting at a major update. Additionally, reports suggest that Tencent, Riot’s publishing partner in China, is aiming for a mid-2025 release due to licensing deadlines.

While China is a significant market, Riot Games has been working on a simultaneous global rollout. This means players worldwide may gain access around the same timeframe. With Riot creating official pages for Valorant Mobile on Chinese social media, the company seems to be gearing up for an official announcement soon.

Beta Testing and Regional Rollout

In December 2024, leaks confirmed that beta sign-ups for Valorant Mobile were live, with testing phases in China expected between January and February 2025. This beta would fine-tune gameplay before the full release. However, Riot Games historically launches regional betas before a global rollout. Therefore, countries outside China may soon see regional testing opportunities.

Valorant Mobile has already secured its license from China’s National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA), operating under the title “Valorant: Operation Primal.” This regulatory approval was a major step forward, ensuring that the game is legally cleared for distribution in one of its key markets.

Global Release Strategy

With Tencent and Riot Games focusing on both China and the international market, Valorant Mobile could launch globally alongside the Chinese version. Riot has previously taken a phased approach with mobile titles like League of Legends: Wild Rift, releasing in select regions before expanding. However, given the competition in the mobile shooter space, an aggressive global rollout would help Valorant Mobile capture a broad player base quickly.
