The highly anticipated Snowbreak: Containment Zone version 2.1 update has hit an unexpected roadblock on Google Play. Despite its growing popularity, the update has been delayed due to the rejection of certain artwork deemed too provocative by the platform. While the update is still available on PC and iOS, Android users will have to wait a little longer.
Snowbreak has undergone a remarkable transformation from a niche game to a mainstream success, largely thanks to its pivot toward fanservice content. The latest update, however, seems to have pushed the boundaries a bit too far for Google Play. According to a statement from Amazing Seasun, the game’s developer, the update was rejected due to artwork considered “inappropriate” by Google Play standards. The controversial content appears to center around an illustration featuring Operative Vidya Agave in revealing attire, with a focus on certain suggestive elements.
This is not the first time Snowbreak has faced issues with content censorship. Previous promotional videos encountered similar pushback on YouTube, leading to delays and alterations. Despite this hiccup, the developers are working closely with Google to resolve the issue, and players can expect compensation for the delay once a solution is found.
For now, Snowbreak fans on Android will have to wait for the green light, while the game continues to thrive on other platforms.
