SEGA’s highly anticipated casual party game, Sonic Rumble, is set to take its first major step toward launch with early access in the Philippines this August. Scheduled to kick off on August 20, 2024, this marks the beginning of the game’s release roadmap, giving Filipino players the first taste of this new addition to the party game genre.
The game’s launch roadmap is split into multiple phases, starting with “Pre-Launch 1,” where Filipino players can test the game before its broader release. Although players can enjoy the game during this phase, any data collected will be reset afterward.
As the summer season transitions into fall, Sonic Rumble will expand its reach with “Pre-Launch 2.” This phase will include more regions, such as Peru and Colombia, with potential for further expansion. A global pre-registration period will also open during this time. Additionally, players who participate in both Pre-Launch phases and remain active will receive a special in-game reward.
The roadmap concludes with the game’s global launch set for winter 2024-2025. While no specific date has been confirmed, it’s expected to land between December 2024 and March 2025.
With the impending release of Sonic Rumble, the party game genre is becoming increasingly competitive. Titles like Fall Guys (now available on mobile via the Epic Games Store), Stumble Guys, Eggy Party, and Mobile Party are already vying for attention. Despite the stiff competition, SEGA’s iconic Sonic franchise is expected to stand out, offering unique gameplay modes and features.
