Feral Interactive is pleased to announce that Creative Assembly’s strategy classic Total War: EMPIRE, with its unique blend of grand, turn-based empire management and tactical real-time battles, will be released for iOS and Android later this year. With the ground-breaking mobile releases of Total War: ROME and MEDIEVAL II still as popular as ever, Feral is now bringing the 18th century’s age of exploration, conquest and revolution to phones and tablets, complete with intuitive touch controls, a redesigned UI and new quality-of-life features suited to mobile play.
Total War: EMPIRE invites players to lead the great European powers during a turbulent era of rapid scientific advances, momentous political change and widespread military conflict. Commanding one of eleven playable factions on a Campaign Map spanning Europe, India, and the Americas, players must consolidate their domestic power while racing to establish a foothold on new continents. Through shrewd diplomacy or sheer might, each faction looks to strengthen their global standing and bring prosperity to their people, deploying armies, fleets and agents to protect and further their interests both at home and abroad.
Where diplomacy and statecraft fail, players will lead the charge in real-time battles, with the explosive artillery of the age underlining the increasing importance of gunpowder warfare. When the conflict takes to the seas, the ensuing real-time naval battles — a first for Total War on mobile — see players deploying heavily-armed fleets to secure overseas possessions and protect critical trade routes.
