The game is set to make an appearance at the PlayStation booth during ChinaJoy 2024, formally known as the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference, held annually in Shanghai. As the largest gaming and digital entertainment exhibition in China, ChinaJoy is the perfect stage for this potential announcement.
Wuthering Waves has recently achieved a milestone of 30 million downloads worldwide. The game offers an expansive open world where players control Rover, the protagonist, along with recruited allies called Resonators. As players advance, they face challenging combat modes that highlight the game’s unique mechanics. Combat includes Intro and Outro skills, which activate as characters enter and exit battles, respectively. Additionally, switching characters triggers both skill types, enhancing the dynamic gameplay.
The game also features a gacha system with banners known as Convenes for obtaining Resonators and Weapons. Characters can equip Echoes, which allow them to summon or temporarily transform into powerful creatures, adding a strategic layer to the combat.
