Game Science, the developer behind the successful action RPG Black Myth: Wukong, is reportedly working on a new expansion, following the model of Elden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. The information comes from Daniel Wu of Hero Games, Game Science’s largest outside shareholder, during a Bloomberg interview.
While specific details remain scarce, Wu confirmed that the expansion will be part of the game’s continued development but not as a sequel. The new content is expected to bring additional sales, similar to how Elden Ring attracted renewed interest with its DLC release.

Since its release, Black Myth: Wukong has been a commercial hit, selling 18 million copies and generating over $700 million in profits. The game has been officially released on PS5 and PC, selling 10 million copies within the first three days.
