Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Leads Golden Joystick Awards 2025 Nominations

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the debut title from Sandfall Interactive, is off to a strong start in the Golden Joystick Awards 2025. It garnered six nominations, the most of any game this year, including nods for Best Storytelling, Best Visual Design, Best Soundtrack, and performance nominations for its leads.

Notably, the game also received recognition for Best Supporting Performer (Ben Starr as Verso) and Best Leading Performer (Jennifer English as Maëlle). Despite its success, it missed out on categories such as Console Game of the Year.

Following closely behind are titles like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and Ghost of Yōtei, each earning four nominations. Clair Obscur’s strong showing at the moment positions it as a favorite among voters heading into the final awards.

Voting for the Golden Joystick Awards is open to the public, so fans can cast ballots in categories across platform, design, performance, and more. Winners will be revealed on November 3, 2025.
