Sandfall Interactive’s turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has emerged as the leading nominee for The Game Awards 2025, securing a total of 12 nominations.
This includes nods in major categories such as Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, and Best RPG. The game’s strong performance was further highlighted by its three nominations in the Best Performance category for actors Ben Starr, Charlie Cox, and Jennifer English.
The competition is robust, with several other high-profile titles receiving strong recognition. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yōtei both tied for eight nominations each, with Death Stranding 2 also earning a spot in the coveted Game of the Year lineup. Additionally, two highly anticipated indie titles, Hades 2 (six nominations) and Hollow Knight: Silksong (five nominations), are also contenders for Game of the Year. In terms of overall presence, Sony Interactive Entertainment received the most nominations across the board with 18, followed closely by Kepler Interactive with 14.
The Game Awards 2025 ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 11 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
