Cling to Blindness, An Audio-Only Horror Game Heads to PC on Nov. 7

A brand-new horror game called Cling to Blindness uses only sound to evoke fear. Players assume the role of Satsuki, who wears a blindfold and explores an abandoned village. Players must find five talismans while dodging an enigmatic creature known as Ashioto using only auditory clues like wind chimes and footsteps. Your nerves and your ears are your only guides; there are no pictures.

Launch Details

On November 7, 2025, the game will formally launch on PC through Steam. The game, which was created by Lizardry, the same studio that created Refind Self: The Personality Test Game, and released by PLAYISM, promises a brief but memorable experience.

Key features to note

  • Audio-only gameplay: The game uses immersive stereo sound to guide players through a dark, unseen world.
  • Penguin Mode: For those who find the tension too much, activating this mode replaces the creature’s footsteps with a comical penguin sound effect.
  • Atmospheric tension: There are no jump scares or gore, just pure psychological tension built entirely through audio.

A Unique Kind of Horror Game

Traditional horror is turned on its head in Cling to Blindness. Players are forced to rely entirely on their hearing to survive because all visuals are eliminated. Offering a tense yet approachable horror experience that engages the imagination rather than the senses, the concept is unsettling, inventive, and pleasantly unique.

Players are advised to play in a quiet setting and wear top-notch headphones for the greatest experience. For complete immersion, some even suggest wearing a blindfold.
