“Diablo Immortal” Unleashes The New Blood Knight Class This July

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a bloody update for “Diablo Immortal.” On July 13, a new class will be unleashed as Blizzard confirmed the arrival of the Blood Knight, the seventh playable class in the game. This marks the first addition to the class roster in almost a decade since the introduction of the Crusader in “Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.”

The Blood Knight is a formidable melee hybrid class that wields polearms for close combat. While it may feel slow initially, the Blood Knight can transform into an Abomination, a powerful monster. With this transformation, the Blood Knight unleashes devastating hand-to-hand blows upon enemies.

The lore of the Blood Knight is rooted in Diablo’s version of vampires. Vampires are a “living plague” in Diablo’s world, turning victims into Thralls. Blood Knights are humans bitten by vampires but manage to halt the curse of Thralldom through an ancient ritual. They use a keepsake to maintain their humanity. When Blood Knights transform into Abominations, they release the curse, tapping into its power.

It remains uncertain whether the Blood Knight class will be in Diablo 4. However, Diablo Immortal could serve as a testbed to gauge interest. Existing players can switch to the Blood Knight class for free when it becomes available. Blizzard allows a free class change every week. Access to the Blood Knight class will be free.

“Diablo Immortal” is available on Android, iOS, and Windows PC. The free-to-play game was released in June 2022, with over 30 million downloads in its first month. The addition of the Blood Knight class promises a more diverse gameplay experience as players explore the dark world of “Diablo Immortal.”
