Diablo Immortal’s Lates Major Update, Shattered Sanctuary Brings Back The Lord of Terror!

The Shattered Sanctuary update is set to launch in Diablo Immortal on Friday, December 13, marking the return of Diablo, the Lord of Terror. This highly anticipated update introduces a new storyline, challenging zones, and gameplay features that are poised to reshape the player experience.

Main Questline: A Journey to Stop Diablo’s Plan

The update’s main quest begins with players gathering allies and traveling north to confront an overwhelming demon invasion. Armed with the legendary sword El’druin, players will fight through hordes of demons, tackle Diablo’s lieutenants, and dismantle a weapon central to his sinister plan. This journey culminates in the Crater of Unmaking, located in the newly added zone, World’s Crown.

World’s Crown: The Largest Zone Yet

World’s Crown is Diablo Immortal’s largest zone to date, featuring seven subzones, one safe zone, and an array of new bounties. The snowy landscape is overrun by the Legions of Terror, including “wanted” monsters. In this desolate northern realm, Diablo’s forces—comprising Terror demons, Shardborne, cultists, and The Maddened—are attempting to merge Sanctuary with the Burning Hells. Players must halt this apocalyptic fusion and prepare for an ultimate showdown with Diablo himself.

High-Stakes Final Battle

In a climactic duel, players will face Diablo. The stakes are higher than ever: failure means the unmaking of Sanctuary itself. After a victorious confrontation, players can re-challenge Diablo in a replayable mode for valuable rewards, including El’druin-inspired cosmetics and Set items.

Additional Features in Shattered Sanctuary

Dreadbirth Helliquary Bosses

The update introduces Dreadbirth Helliquary Bosses, which unlock new Helliquary levels. These encounters provide a heightened level of difficulty for seasoned players.

Challenge Dungeons

Challenge Dungeons offer high-risk, high-reward gameplay. These enhanced versions of previous dungeons feature random modifiers, enemies with 500% more life, and 200% more damage. Completing one dungeon per week guarantees a Set item, with additional rewards for subsequent runs.

  • Familiars Update: Improved mechanics and new customization options.
  • Three New Legendary Gems: Fresh opportunities to enhance builds.
  • Season 34 Battle Pass: Launching alongside the update, offering exclusive rewards.
