First Look at Cast and Concept Art for Kojima’s Stealth Action PlayStation Title Physint

As part of the Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary livestream, “Beyond the Strand,” fans finally got a fresh update on Hideo Kojima’s long-teased stealth action project, Physint. The game, which has been shrouded in secrecy since its reveal, is still in the early stages of development but brought some exciting confirmations.

Confirmed cast members and in-engine demo

The biggest news from the stream is the reveal of the game’s cast:

  • Don Lee (Train to Busan)
  • Charlee Fraser (Anyone But You)
  • Minami Hamabe (Shin Kamen Rider)

Hamabe was also featured in an in-engine demonstration, with Kojima highlighting how impressed he was by the rendering quality, especially the skin detail.

Kojima Productions x Sony Interactive Entertainment

Sony Interactive Entertainment Studio head Hermen Hulst appeared ahead of the segment, reaffirming that Sony will work closely with Kojima Productions on Physint. This positions the game as one of the PlayStation brand’s most ambitious future projects.

A return to stealth action roots

Described as a “stealth action title” in the spirit of Metal Gear Solid, Physint was also accompanied by newly revealed concept art, finally giving fans a small glimpse of its visual direction.

The project was first announced in January 2024 as a “next-generation action espionage game,” with Kojima saying it would enter full production after Death Stranding 2.

Development timeline and Kojima’s vision

Kojima has been candid about the game’s long road ahead. Back in May, he revealed Physint would likely take five to six years to complete, describing it as the “culmination of [his] work” and a project intended to “transcend the barriers between film and video games.”

Born during a period of illness and reflection, Kojima noted that Physint was something fans had been asking for, and his health struggles convinced him to finally make it happen.

What’s next?

For now, fans will have to remain patient—Kojima himself admitted the game is still “some way off.” But with the cast revealed, concept art shared, and Sony’s backing confirmed, Physint is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated stealth action titles in years.
