First-Person Psychological Horror Frame Zero Announced for PC

Indie dev DALOAR, known for The Occultist, has revealed Frame Zero, a new first-person psychological horror game coming exclusively to PC in mid-2027.

What’s the Story Behind Frame Zero?

The plot follows exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth, who dies under mysterious circumstances. A journalist named Emma Sullivan and her cameraman Daniel Foster go to his apartment complex to film a report and talk to neighbors, but no one answers—despite strange noises inside. When they enter, they discover all the residents are already dead. In Father Amorth’s unit, they uncover that he had hidden a possessed girl in his attic, one the Church had abandoned, and died mid-ritual trying to save her.

The girl, now a blind monstrous entity, is accidentally freed. Emma disappears, and it’s up to Daniel—with only his camera—to explore the haunted building and uncover the truth before it’s too late.

What’s Headed Your Way

Players can expect tense atmosphere, supernatural horror, exploration, and puzzle-like investigation. With no combat beyond what you can manage with limited tools like the camera, the game leans heavily into fear of the unknown and dread. Given the developer’s track record, production values appear promising, especially in visual and narrative design.
