The highly anticipated sequel to the fourth installment of “God Of War” recently released a hilarious promotional video for “God Of War Ragnarok.” The commercial stars Ben Stiller, LeBron James, and John Travolta along with each of their kids in an unhinged father-child therapy consult thing while comparing themselves to Kratos and Atreus. You can watch the whole commercial down below:
Ben Stiller is in full Kratos cosplay, complete with white skin, red body markings, and armor which gives the whole video another layer of insanity. John Travolta and her daughter, the beautiful Ella Bleu took on the role of a dad who fully embraced being “Kratos” in his daily life, and Ella pointed out how stupid everything is. LeBron and his son, Bronny both question what in the hell is happening, and Stiller’s son, Quinlin, seems like he really doesn’t want to be there.
The cast was recently interviewed by EW about the “God Of War Ragnarok” and here’s what they had to say:
“I have to say trying to make LeBron James laugh was fun, and he loves to improv also, So he was making me laugh too. There was a bit about his headband he came up with and since we don’t really know each other, and I didn’t know his sense of humor, it was fun to see that he enjoyed that and played off it. Felt the same with John Travolta, both iconic figures, and John really plays in the moment. It was great to have a chance to act with him since I have been a fan forever.”
– Ben Stiller
“This shoot was so much fun. I don’t think I’ve laughed that much on set, ever.”
– LeBron James
“Our children were hilarious in their very dry reaction to their parents being over-enthusiastic towards the game and that made me laugh on and off camera.”
– John Travolta

“God Of War Ragnarok” is the direct sequel to the recently revived “God Of War” franchise. The game follows Kratos and his son Atreus and their adventures in the world of the Norse Gods. “God Of War Ragnarok” will pick up where “GOW” left off with the son and child duo now having to deal with Ragnarok, the end end of the world, and more Norse Gods who want them destroyed to oblivion. “God Of War” will be released on November 9 for PS4 and PS5.
