Sony has officially announced a film adaptation of the acclaimed video game “Horizon Zero Dawn.” This project is a collaboration between PlayStation Studios and Columbia Pictures, the studio behind the successful 2022 “Uncharted” movie.

Development Details

During Sony’s CES 2025 press conference, Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions, revealed that the film is in the early stages of development. He stated, “Columbia Pictures and PlayStation Productions are at the early stages of developing a film adaptation of the award-winning Horizon Zero Dawn.”

In the same press conference, Sony also announced film adaptations for “Helldivers 2” and an anime series for “Ghost of Tsushima,” indicating a broader strategy to bring popular PlayStation titles to various entertainment mediums.
