HoYoverse Responds to Feedback, Overhauls Honkai: Nexus Anima 3D Models

HoYoverse has addressed a major piece of feedback from the community regarding the quality of character models in its latest gacha game in development, Honkai: Nexus Anima. Following the Nexus Bond Test, the developers are implementing a substantial overhaul of both the characters’ 3D models and their overall design.

Significant 3D Model Improvements

The studio recently shared an update showcasing the results of this major overhaul, specifically with the character Parayaya. The new model is drastically different and greatly improved from the initial version.

The changes include:

Enhanced Overall Quality: Improvements to the entire 3D model, including textures and richness of detail.
Refined Details: The character now features enriched details, additional accessories, and better shading.
Expressive Changes: The character’s expression, particularly around the eyes, is now different, giving Parayaya a fresher appearance.

HoYoverse confirmed that this new standard of quality will be applied to all characters in the game.

Addressing Community Feedback

This character overhaul is one of several serious revisions the developers are undertaking. HoYoverse is carefully considering fan feedback to craft a game that meets expectations. Beyond the visual models, the community has also expressed concerns over the gameplay format, which some players feel is not a good fit for their preferences. Fans are hopeful that the developers will also give serious attention to refining the gameplay based on community discussion.

Honkai: Nexus Anima is currently in active development for mobile and PC platforms, with no official release schedule announced yet.
