Controversial American content creator IShowSpeed, known for his energetic online persona, surprised his Filipino fans by visiting the Philippines on September 11. He kicked off his trip with a three-hour YouTube livestream titled “irl stream in Philippines,” where he shared his experiences from the first day of his visit.
Wearing a blue jersey with “Pilipinas” written on it, IShowSpeed strolled through the streets of Manila, greeted fans, and engaged in local activities. He played basketball, received a LeBron James jersey from a fan, bought Filipino snacks from a sari-sari store, and rode both a kalesa and motorcycle while holding the Philippine flag.
During his visit to Bonifacio Global City (BGC), the overwhelming number of fans prevented him from fully exploring the area. Although the purpose of his visit remains unclear, he hinted at a possible meeting with Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
IShowSpeed, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr., is widely known for his exaggerated behavior in livestreams and gaming content.
