Keanu Reeves, the Hollywood actor who played the legendary Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, has stated that he would like to reprise his role in the next installment. Series creator Mike Pondsmith shared his enthusiasm, jokingly telling Reeves that there are ways to bring Silverhand back and adding, “Keanu, get in touch with me.”
In the past, Reeves said he would “absolutely” love to play Silverhand once more. Even though Silverhand was canonically killed in the original game, Pondsmith made hints that the character might still make a comeback through imaginative techniques like flashbacks, alternate timelines, or digital consciousness.

Obstacles and Potential Future Developments
It’s not easy to bring Silverhand back. It’s challenging to maintain continuity for a significant role in Cyberpunk 2077 because of its numerous endings and player-driven narrative threads. However, the fact that both Reeves and Pondsmith are willing indicates that the door is open. Although there are still many unanswered questions about the sequel, which is currently in pre-production, the return of Silverhand has emerged as a major talking point.
Fans are excited about the possibility of seeing Reeves return to Night City, but it’s unclear if he’ll make a cameo or a full-length lead return. As they develop the franchise’s next chapter, the studio seems to be maintaining narrative options open.
