Marvel Mystic Mayhem to Shut Down in April 2026

NetEase Games has officially confirmed that MARVEL Mystic Mayhem will end its service on April 1, 2026. This announcement comes as a surprise to many, as the team-based tactical RPG only launched six months ago in June 2025. According to the development team, all new content creation will stop on the shutdown date. While the news is disappointing for fans, the servers will remain online and playable for now, allowing users to experience the existing story and gameplay before the final closure.

Final Content and Character Rollouts

Despite the upcoming shutdown, NetEase plans to release a few final updates that were already in development. Players can look forward to a new story chapter titled “Dream in the Hive,” which is scheduled to go live in January 2026. Additionally, several highly anticipated 3-Star characters, including Jean Grey, Wolverine, Venom, Cyclops, and Morgan le Fay, will be added to the roster over the next few months. No further character or story updates will be released after March 19, 2026, as the game moves toward its final day.

Reduced Monetization and Player Rewards

In light of the end of service, monetization within the game was reduced starting on December 25, 2025. To thank the community for their support, NetEase is also providing small gratitude rewards to players who continue to play until the end. This follows a trend of several high-profile mobile game shutdowns recently, marking the second Marvel title from NetEase to close in the last two years. Players will receive at least 60 days of advance notice before the servers officially go offline for good.
